Day 1: Technology Enhanced Learning and Teaching (TELT) Menu

Welcome to the Technology Enhanced Learning and Teaching (TELT) Menu – constructed to help you find technology and match it to different learning and teaching approaches. On this menu, we have defined several learning and teaching approaches, relevant technologies, explained benefits and also included some examples from our own staff. Here’s a short video showing you how it works (click on the image):

You could use this when planning your VLE content for the academic year and what tools you intend to use and also for reviewing your course.

Christmas Quiz

Each day we will be posting a Christmassy clip from Box of Broadcasts,  (BoB) which is a service run by the British University Film and Video Council (BUFVC).  BoB gives you and your students access to view, use, share and even edit, literally millions of TV and radio programmes, for learning and teaching, on or off campus. After clicking the link, you will need to log in by choosing the University you attend/work for, and then your usual user name and password.

Today’s Christmas clip is from a classic film released in 1946, and was adapted from a story called ‘The Greatest Gift’. The film received mixed reviews on release and was criticised for representing the banking profession in a dim light – see if you can guess what it is before viewing.  Answers will be given in proceeding posts. Enjoy! Click on the image:

Apologies for those of you who do not have access to BoB – this is really a little add on and is not central to the posts. The answers will be given each day on the next post – you may feel free to search for the clips on youtube.
